Rifters Heroes
Character designs for the first six heroes in their basic version, for the video game Rifters. It's a game in development, from a small independent start-up, made with a ton of passion by our Latino team.

The Xyborg.
They were the most challenging faction for me, cause I'm new to hard surface design. But I ended up enjoying them a lot.
Some time ago I learned about the Amasunzu hairstyle, which is a traditional Rwandan style. They use the hair texture to create futuristic sculptures, it fascinated me, since then I've wanted to make a character that wore it and this was my chance.
Challenging design, this detailed version had a few changes from the first attempt. Pilot is a fun Latin-lover type of guy. Thinking about the character helps me get through. It pushes me to bring them to reality with all my might.
The Zunson where the most fun to work on. I'm a super-geek of the ancient world and anthropology, so it was a treat to develop their world and design.
Cym is my tough sweet girl, a mighty huntress. Inspired by a mix of African and Asian steppe cultures.
Radaiti is a bit of a weirdo, but a nice kind of weirdo. For him, I used inspiration from northern European cultures.
The Saladrian
My odd blue, bald, vegan angels. I got to go nuts with classical Greece inspiration, the minimalistic yet grandiose look of philosophers was perfect for this faction of wise and powerful beings.
Alcyone is enigmatic, looking young and innocent but carrying the deep, wise gaze of one who has lived many long years. I wanted her design to have a subtle wink at the iconography of the Budha.
Enki my dear toga wearing titan. It took a lot of research and testing to figure out how to properly put on a toga, and then make a different version that was still physically possible to put on from a single piece of fabric.
